DepEd lauds senior high school fairs for helping students choose right track

(Inside Manila) Department of Education-Schools Division Offices (DepEd-SOD) praised senior high school fairs held by last March for helping thousands of students choose the right senior high track and discover opportunities from various public and private high schools.

The pocket senior high fairs emphasized the importance of empowering students to be well-informed before choosing their track and offering them a better understanding of their educational opportunities.

DepEd-Pasay Superintendent Dr. Evangeline Ladines said the senior high fairs was "one of the most creative ways of bringing students to the world of education."

"This is now widening their knowledge of the choices that they are going to take as senior high school students," she added.

According to DepEd-Pasay Chief Education Program Supervisor Irene Tonel, the fairs addressed the problems they faced during the first year implementation of the senior high program. Also, they helped students get scholarships online. founder and Chief Executive Officer said the objective of this activity is to help students have a better idea of what they want to do in senior high school.

“We want them to make the right choice, not just by themselves, not just by instinct, but with all the information they can gather in the fair. We want them to understand what track or strand will lead to the career they want,” he said.
