The annual Gourmet Fest celebrates the restaurants Shangri-La Plaza have under its roofs. Each restaurant or cafe sets up a creative exhibit with sampler portions of their best offerings. The best part? The food comes at discounted prices!
Gourmet Fest offers European cuisine like Italian pasta and risotto from Balboa. If you prefer pizza, Pezzo is just around the corner. Savor the rich Spanish flavors with Wobbly Pan, enjoy some rosti (Swiss dish consisting mainly of potatoes) at Spatzle, or maybe some German beer and meaty platters at Brotzeit.
Of course, American staples are also present at this foodie haven. Enjoy crispy Southern fried chicken from Kettle or signature burgers from Tender Bob’s. Craving for New York-inspired pizza? Slices are available at Yellow Cab. And head to Pepi Cubano for a sumptuous Cuban sandwich.
We know you won’t let the food festival go by without trying authentic Asian favorites. Gourmet Fest showcases the best of Japanese cuisine with the flavors of SumoSam, deep-fried meat of Kimukatso, shabu-shabu of Ganso Shabuway, and maki and rice bowls of Akira. Try out Vietnamese delicacies at Zao or slurp up some Thai noodles at Thai BBQ. And we’re sure you are curious to try Lemongrass’s satay and Arya Persian Restaurant’s kebab selections.
After all of these foodie adventures, you may also want to try food that are closer to home. Filipino dishes and all-time favorites can be found at Via Mare and Bread, Broth and Beyond, while a fusion of Filipino and Tex-Mex dishes are served at Fiesta Alamexo.
