The Manila Fashion Festival, together with Panasonic, has come a long way—from starting with 12 designers to celebrating and inspiring fashion enthusiasts for over 11 seasons.
The Festival has established one of the biggest fashion events in our country and has opened a lot of great opportunities for fashion enthusiasts. The event has partnered with Panasonic since its 8th season, thus naming the festival, Panasonic Manila Fashion Festival (PMFF). Since then, it has continued its legacy of being the most influential and biggest fashion event in South East Asia.
An Incubator of Talents
Now on its 5th Anniversary, PMFF not only wants to celebrate fashion and design but also to celebrate life. It created an impact on a lot of people to appreciate the art of fashion and to see what it can bring to the world. For five years, PMFF showcased talented designers, locally and internationally. Their collections allowed them to express their stories, creations, and passions. Talents were also discovered with aspiring models that are now able to pursue their dreams and are able to walk the PMFF runaway with designers’ collections from around the globe.

In line with discovering talents, Face of the Philippines has reached its 6th cycle! With over 50+ auditionees, stripped down to 19 finalists as they battled it out to be the new Face of the Philippines. From extreme makeovers to creative and daring photoshoots, the contestants put their modeling capability and patience to the test. On the 3rd day of Panasonic Manila Fashion Festival, we will know who will #OwnTheLook for this year’s season! All will be broadcasted live on the Face of the Philippines’ Youtube channel.
For the beauty enthusiasts, Art Personas created a segment for this year’s PMFF called Panasonic Beauty Lifestyle Talks. This segment aims to inspire and educate beauty enthusiasts with what they want to learn about. It includes topics on hairstyling, make-up application, fashion photography, and fashion entrepreneurship.
Beauty and Advocacy
As part of PMFF's 5th Anniversary, Art Personas also wants to celebrate the works of its designers. In partnership with SoFA Design Institute, Panasonic Manila Fashion Festival will feature the top 6 fashion graduates. Starting this season, the event will be featuring one designer that will close the event of PMFF. For this year, a special designer will feature a 40 piece collection that showcases her brand thoroughly.
A collaboration between San Miguel Light and PTRI is about to happen for this year’s PMFF wherein PTRI is going to provide sustainable fabric and we’ll see what the designer can come up with. Who can be the best at this challenge than Yong Davalos.
Cheers to PMFF’s 5th Anniversary and let’s Celebrate Fashion! Celebrate Life! together.
