Manillennials have mixed feelings about working out—they want to, and they also don’t want to. Going to the gym is often seen as a chore, but also a need.

But what if getting into the active lifestyle and getting fit doesn’t have to be so tiring nor boring? What if exercises don’t have to feel like exercise at all? We are now in a time where outdoor activities can be experienced indoors, and indoor exercises are made more fun. Yes, playgrounds for adults exist and they're all around the Metro.

Your couch potato self might have met its demise. See the list below:

Trampoline Park

The closest thing we can have to flying? Jumping on trampolines! Trampoline Park is an indoor space in Mandaluyong filled with trampolines from the floors all the way to the walls. You can jump to your heart’s content and land on a soft surface. Plus, your flabs, cellulite, and heart will thank you since this activity also counts as a fun cardio exercise.

Manila Skate Park

Skateboarding in the local scene got the attention it deserved, thanks to Margielyn Didal, a Filipina skateboarding champion tagged as one of the most influential teens in 2018. If you aspire to be like her, the Manila Skate Park could be your next hangout spot. This public skatepark is complete with rails, walls, and bowl obstacles for skateboarding beginners or pros. Skating is also a form of exercise—it strengthens your legs, helps improve balance, and you get to socialize with fellow skate enthusiasts while at it too.
