Winning the Miss World title means so much more than meets the eye for Philippines’ representative Katarina Rodriguez.

"I think it means every single second of my life up until that coronation night because everything I've been doing from the day I was born 'til now really was meant for that specific night," said Katarina in an exclusive send-off presscon before she takes on the Miss World Competiton happening in Sanya, China by December 8.

She also relates her potential win in the competition with a Phil Collins' song "In The Air Tonight" as she expressed during the press conference.

Here's how the lyrics of the song go:

"I can feel it coming in the air tonight, oh Lord. And I've been waiting for this moment for all my life, oh Lord
Can you feel it coming in the air tonight, oh Lord, oh Lord,"

Even though Phil Collins admitted himself that the song has a lot of anger, despair, and frustration, for Katarina it meant her claim for the infamous blue crown.

She also takes it as a sign for the Philippines and the Filipinos’ to be discovered around the world.

"I think it’s the time of the Filipino people. Not just in pageantry but in politics, in sports, in medicine, in just every aspect. Like I said we live in the world's best-kept secret. Our people are naturally hospitable and kind and brave its really our time. We have rich biodiversity as I've said it’s the perfect time to be a Filipino,"

Best of luck, Katarina!
