As the temperature rises, we always find ways to keep ourselves cool. One of the ways we like to do so is indulging in cold desserts like ice cream. For those who would like a good old creamy treat, we have local brands which would suit the Filipino taste buds. Check these ice cream stores inside Manila:

Big Scoop
219 N. Domingo Street, San Juan City

Big Scoop started when they bought a used US army surplus ice cream machine to create small batches of ice cream. Now, they are one of the well-known ice cream parlors in Metro Manila. They are known for their classic flavors like chocolate and vanilla, but they also have their specials—their avocado ice cream is the best! If you are into fat-free and fruity sherbet, they have flavors like Buko Lechias, Calamansi, Guyabano, Mango, and Orange.

Papa Diddi’s Handcrafted Ice Cream
168 Maginhawa, Diliman, Quezon City

Papa Diddi’s has been around for four years now. This ice cream brand uses only 100% natural and homegrown ingredients—they use carabao’s milk! Try their Summer Blooms flavors, which include White Chocolate infused with Sampaguita, Roselle’s Embrace (Hibiscus), and Squash Bloom. These are flavors away from your usual classic favorites.
