We now live in an era where expressing your ideas and art are easy, all thanks to social media. We all have something new to offer and it would be great if we would be able to share them with like-minded people. It’s healthy to immerse yourself with groups who would appreciate and help you improve your craft.

That is why we are here to introduce you to certain creative communities that might be helpful for you. Check them out!

98B Collaboratory

Located along Escolta Street, the heritage business center in Manila, 98B Collaboratory is also one of the communities that provide a space where artists can interact with other artists of different kinds. It is community/network/library/kitchen/shop, depends on what the situation demands, really.

Guhit Pinas

Guhit Pinas is probably one of the most well-known online groups where artists can showcase their work. This was founded by two young Bicolano students--a cartoonist and a writer. Since then, it became a platform for artworks and is now the largest organization of Filipino visual artists in the Philippines.

Metal Pen

Another online community where digital artists can share their artworks and have it criticized (constructively, of course) by their fellow artists. It focuses mostly on concept design, character art, and digital illustration.

Whether it is about paintings, digital art, handmade crafts, or even theater, we hope these platforms will inspire you to express your art and talent. These creative communities are almost saying, “There is room for you here.” So, go ahead and fill that room with pure creativity.
