In this day and age, beauty brands have realized that beauty is in diversity (finally!). And luckily, local beauty brands didn't fall behind as our local faves also created products for those who have that tanned glow.

Check out these brands below and their products that morena girls (and boys!) will love.

Pink Sugar

Pink Sugar is definitely one of those local beauty brands that bring inclusivity to local cosmetics table. Local beauty gurus and influencers applaud the brand for their hulas-proof products such as the Honey I'm Good Eyebrow Kit and Our Lil' Secret Foundation.

We Recommend: Their Our Lil' Secret Foundation comes with shade ranges that are Filipina-skin tone friendly! The lightest is in the shade Light Warm and the darkest is Sienna, a bronze-orange. Each tube only costs for P399, that’s not bad at all.

Colourette Cosmetics

Another local brand making a name for itself especially on social media is Colourette Cosmetics. Colourette prides itself on being a game changer with their multi-way lip products for the cheeks and eyes as well.

We Recommend: Colourette’s “Morena Love” Collection consisting of four lipstick shades is a must have to accentuate that brown and beautiful glow. The Morena loving shades include; Portia a wearable red, York a beige-grey shade, Rosewell a plum shade and Roma a rosy nude shade. Each lipstick retails at P499!

Ever Bilena

Kudos to Ever Bilena (the first brand our high school and college selves have probably run to) who upped their makeup game in the recent years releasing and introducing more competitive but affordable makeup products for Filipinas.

We Recommend: EB Advance Glow Out Highlighter in shade Candlelight is the right amount of glow for every skin color. If you want a subtle glow, go for their pale champagne shade Strobe. You can get these blinding powders for only P199 each!

BLK Cosmetics

One of Anne Curtis' biggest milestones is being one of the founders of yet another local beauty brand, BLK Cosmetics. The brand's tagline "uncomplicated beauty" is already a proof that it’s set to bring hassle-free makeup products for the well-rounded Filipino.

We Recommend: BLK Cosmetics’ Intense Color Liquid Eyeshadow in I Love You has a shimmer-bronze effect that is set to stand out especially in a tanned skin tone. Get this effortless but impactful eye look for only P299 each!

Happy Skin

Happy Skin is another brand that not only wants you to look good but also looks out for your skin. Their recent collaboration with Teen Queen, Kathryn Bernardo, is a highlight for the brand as the 22-year old came up with products proving the tale-old saying “Simplicity is beauty,”

We Recommend: Happy Skin’s Kiss & Bloom Water Lip & Cheek Tint in the shade Serene is a must-have. Not only it's a multiway product but its plum color puts a bit of sass in this commonly-bought tint. Not to mention plums compliments the moreno and morena babes. Purchase yours for only P299 each!

Lustrous

The BYS x Nadine Lustre is another morena-friendly collaboration. Although BYS is not a local brand, we just had to give props to Nadine (A modern beauty hero, tbh) who is a morena through and through for coming up with products that challenge the morena-recommended products to be bolder.

We Recommend: The Lustrous Eyeliner Pencils are the perfect tool to create that bold eye look you’d want to achieve; if you want to make your eyes look more awake and brighter put the shade Moonstone in your waterline. Shades Turquoise and Sapphire, on the other hand, are perfect to add a pop of color to your eye look or as a bold eyeliner. For P199 each you can have a budgeted daring look for summer.

These brands are putting their best foot forward to come up with products that are friendly for the Pinay skin, which only means that the local beauty industry is on the right track! Long live morenas!
