International Silent Film Festival

Where: SM Megamall Cinema, Mandaluyong


Hear that? Maybe not but it's that time of the year again, folks. Now on its 12th edition, the International Silent Film Festival Manila is bringing films from eight participating countries: Austria, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, Spain, U.S. and the Philippines.

Word Wonder Book + Bazaar


When: August 31 to September 3, 11 a.m. to 9 p.m.


Where: Events Center, 5F Century City Mall, Makati


10,000 books, comics, magazines, bookmark, stickers, postcards, arts and crafts await at this four-day bazaar to satisfy your literary needs. Apart from being open to the public, it's also a pet- and eco-friendly event!

2018 Korean Film Festival


When: September 1 to 2, 11 a.m. to 9 p.m.


Where: SM Megamall Cinema, Mandaluyong


Historical and classic-themed Korean films will highlight this year’s Korean Film Festival as the Korean Cultural Center in the Philippines (KCC) opens the annual film festival starting this August 2018. Manila gets a peek at Korea's history this weekend at SM Megamall for free. The festival will run until September 26 and will be stopping by the cities of Baguio, Davao, Iloilo, and Cebu.

Switch! at Persephone


When: September 1, 5 p.m. to 12 a.m.


Where: Persephone - A Seasonal Kitchen, Jupiter, Makati


With the success of the intimate three-way live art collaboration of Lee Caces, Kara Pangilinan, and Jappy Agoncillo last March, "Switch" gets a second coming this weekend. Kalimba artist Bea Lorenzo and Extrapolation will also return to grace the event with their music,along with other new performers. Tickets are at P250 each.
