Cinemalaya 2018

When: August 3 to 12

Where: CCP Main Theater, CCP Complex, Manila

Film enthusiasts! The Cultural Center of the Philippines (CCP) and the Cinemalaya Foundation rolls its red carpet for the 14th edition of the biggest independent film festival in the country. With the theme “Wings of Vision,” 10 full-length films and 10 short films compete for the grand awards.

Philippine Readers and Writers Festival

When: August 10 to 12

Where: Raffles Makati, Makati City

Love literature? This annual event held by National Book Store and Raffles Makati is a perfect choice. Join book signings, listen to forums, and meet the top Filipino writers and artists in the industry. What's more, admission is free!

History Con 2018

When: August 10 to 12

Where: World Trade Center, Pasay City

The return of the biggest entertainment conventions is sure to excite history buffs in the country.
