Manila’s biggest entertainment convention returns. If the lineup of stars gracing the convention is any indication, this year’s inception, happening from August 10 to 12 at the World Trade Center, is not one to miss.

Here’s everything you need to know about History Con 2018.

Ticket Information

Tickets are available in three different categories: the General Admission (one-day pass) at P350; HISTORY MAKER Pass (three-day pass) at P2,500; and the HISTORY MAKER VIP Pass at P10,000.

The VIP Pass includes three-day pass to the convention, three door gifts, 10 raffle e-tickets, one special HCon limited edition item, one HCon VIP Dinner pass, one carnival ride and escape room admission, and access to guest speaker talks and meet-and-greets. Tickets are available via SM Tickets.

Special Guests

HCon has brought remarkable names to the Philippines and this year is no exception.

Leading the list of special guests this year is Giorgio Tsuokalos, who you might remember from that Aliens meme. Tsuokalos' credentials are—how do we say this—exemplary. He is one of the world's foremost Ancient Astronaut experts, and he continues to change the way the world thinks about Ancient Astronaut Theory since 1998.

Katheryn Winnick, who portrays Lagertha from HISTORY's Emmy-winning series "Vikings,” makes her first special appearance in Asia—at HCon! She has racked up numerous nominations, mostly for her portrayal of the Viking shield maiden.

“Ride n’ Seek” host Jaime Dempsey is one charming tattooed wanderer. Her show “Ride ’n’ Seek” has been a dream for motorcyclists from around the world, especially in Southeast Asia.

Singaporean blogger Yeoh Mong Chin is the star of LIFETIME Asia's all-new travelogue "Who Runs the World With Mong Chin." Her series seeks to encourage and empower women to create inspiring and influential content.

Simon Yin is popularly known as host to History Channel's #1 show "Hidden Cities Extreme,” a fast-paced television ride where Yin embarks on thrilling, high-energy adventures across Asia—including the Philippines!

Filipino personalities Xian Lim and Diego Loyzaga join the powerhouse roster of international celebrities at HCon as both star in HISTORY Asia's award-winning original automotive reality series, "Celebrity Car Wars."

Competitions

Among the competitions you can either witness or join at the three-day convention are the Airsoft War Game Tournament, Wrestling Showcase by the Manila Wrestling Federation, Bladed Weapon Sparring, 3X3 Retro Basketball Tournament, and History Bee Inter-school Competition.

HISTORY Maker Award

Come Day 2, Filipino luminaries will be honored for their significant contribution to the nation's life and culture. This year's distinguished recipients are Victor Consunji, Jessica Soho, Lea Salonga, Nora Aunor, Christopher de Leon, Albert Martinez, Sharon Cuneta, Vilma Santos, Aga Muhlach, and The Philippine Azkals.

With all that has been said, we bet you’re excited. The air will be an overwhelming welcome once you reach the convention, and you best come prepared.
