(Inside Manila) If the myriad of book sales currently happening around the metro are any indication, July is another month for bibliophiles. The biggest local bookstores are offering considerable discounts and it’d be a shame to forego the chance to haul what could be our next favorite read. Mark your calendars and call dibs on those great reads at great prices.

Books For Less

Due to the popularity of its month-long sale last June, Books For Less is having another sale where you can score books for as low as P50. This promo is part of SM City North EDSA’s “The Great Northern Sale” on July 13 to 15, 10 a.m. to 12 a.m., and is exclusive to its store at 4th level, The Block.

For more information, call (02) 633 8554 or visit Books For Less on Facebook.

National Book Store

As a way to thank its avid shoppers, National Book Store is having a six-day Thank You Sale, happening on July 13 to 18. Score up to 75% off on participating imported books and brands, and school and office supplies. Look for items with green stickers to avail of said discount, orange sticker for 50% discount, and white sticker for 25% discount. Further, you can get freebies from participating international brands. This promo runs in branches nationwide and online.

Fully Booked

To celebrate another year of sharing stories at their flagship branch, Fully Booked is having an all-out anniversary sale, happening for the whole month of July. Fully Booked Bonifacio High Street is open at 11 a.m. on weekdays and 10 a.m. on weekends. Meanwhile, its stores at Limketkai Center (CDO), SM North EDSA, Greenbelt 5, Glorietta, and Gateway will also have 20% off discount on July 13 to 15.

Powerbooks

Workshops for kids at Powerbooks’ Podium branch, happening from June until August, continue to drive foot traffic from parents looking to spend a meaningful playdate with their kids. On the other hand, bookworms of all ages are in for a treat as the bookstore is offering up to 75% off on books, school and office supplies, and imported brands through their Power Sale, happening from July 13 to 18 in all Powerbooks branches. Keep an eye out for green stickers for the said discount, orange sticker for 50% discount, and white sticker for 25% discount.

Big Bad Wolf

Y’all Cebuanos asked for it, the Big Bad Wolf heard you. For 10 days, score up to 60 to 80% discounts from over a million books—that’s like a fiesta of books! And like what the big bad wolf said at its book fair of the same name in February, cheap books aren’t necessarily hand-me-downs and of poor quality. Here, you’re sure to find more than one title that’ll tickle your fancy. The air will be an overwhelming welcome once you reach the book fair, and you best come prepared.

The Big Bad Wolf Book Sale is happening from July 13 (9 a.m.) to 23 (11:59 p.m.) at the IEC Convention Center in Cebu City. It will be open 24 hours to give your bookworm heart a lot of opportunities to shop. What’s more, admission is free!
