What Type of Drunk Friend Are You According to GoT’s Fireplace Scene

What do you do when you know it's going to be your last night on earth? You drink to it Game of Thrones style. To quote D. B. Weiss, producer and writer of the episode, "What people do when they have one night left on earth tells you a lot about who people really are." The iconic fireplace inuman session during the episode was a setting we know too well especially when you’re with a bunch of friends and alcohol in the mix. There’s usually a role we unconsciously play, see if you can spot your self or a friend from the characters:
Jaime Lannister, The Game Master
It’s all fun and games when a friend like Jaime is around. He’s that one friend who automatically brings out a deck of Uno cards whenever a drinking session is in place—or board games when he's had time to prepare. He initiates random games to keep everyone entertained—whether it’s a number of crazy card games or a knighting session. He’s the friend who has a lot of fun ideas up his sleeve.
Brienne of Tarth, The Hesitant Friend
We all have that friend quick to refuse when taking a drink for reasons we all want to respect. But when he/she does take a sip or two, this friend is also quick to get intoxicated—and suddenly she's game for anything. You get to see a side of her that's completely different from the sober version of her.
Onion Knight, The Responsible Drinker
The Onion Knight kind of friend is most probably the designated driver of the group. They’re the one who pulls out the stops when everyone has had too much. This kind of friend accompanies you to the bathroom, and would probably hold your hair when you throw up. And most probably the one able to remember everything the next day. He has the receipts to prove it. So be nice to him.
Tyrion Lannister, The Wise Gunner
When Brienne of Tarth gestured Podrick to drink just a half, Tyrion just laughs it off and gives him an overflowing cupful. And if this isn't a familiar scene during your inuman sessions, you have a too honest gunner among your friends, or he/she's too good for you to notice.
Tormund Giantsbane, The TMI guy
When it boils down to a game of Truth or Dare, friends like Tormund go all out truth. Sometimes you don't even have to ask, and he'll automatically just share to you all his TMI encounters. Every drop of alcohol is like a truth serum with friends like Tormund, so make sure to make the most of it.
Podrick Payne, The Karaoke Machine
Karaoke sessions are more fun knowing everyone in the group can barely hit the notes. But for friends like Podrick, they can be quite shy to sing at first, but give him a shot or two and he/she will barely let go of the microphone, sing all parts of the duet, and take hold of the songbook ‘til the last call.
Tag your friends if you are reminded of them on this list, or better yet, call them up for a session. We’ve got games you can play, or drinks you can concoct to level up your gathering.
