(Inside Manila) Months after it celebrated its 20th anniversary, Island Cove, a 36-hectare land located in Binakayan Kawit Cavite recently announced that it's set to cease all business operations on July 28.

In a Facebook post, Island Cove gave no further details regarding the reason for its closure and instead it thanked all the guests, clients and partners for over two decades of operations.

“After 20 years of providing world-class leisure, recreation, and celebrations, Island Cove Hotel and Leisure Park will close its doors and cease operations on July 28, 2018,” Island Cove wrote.

“It has been a pleasure serving our guests and clients as well as working with our partners over the past 2 decades. To have served beyond the ordinary with the warmth of Filipino hospitality has been our joy and honor,” it added.

However, in a report by the Philippine News Agency (PNA) it said that there are rumors saying the Remulla's, a big and influential family in Cavite, sold the resort to focus more on politics and public service.

Even in their last month, Island Cove aims to end in a high note with its "Last Chance Room Sale" offering up to 40% off on all room categories. The promo and booking period runs from June 27 to July 27, 2018.
