(Inside Manila) Netizens expressed outrage and complete disagreement over the recent prearranged budget released by the National Economic Development Authority (NEDA). As per the agency, a Filipino family of five members can survive with a P10,000 budget.

And just like every Filipino netizen would eventually do, some took the news in a humorous manner and tried to take on the budget as "genuine" as they can. Take a look!

Facebook humor page "PULPOLitika" even turned the budget like those trendy social media challenges and named it #10kNedaChallenge

A Filipino family can clearly live with a P10,000 if you stick with these snacks!

If you look at it, rice and gummy worms would really make a P10,000 budget a reality.

While this page suggests living off only on instant noodles is the way. It even computed in advance the grave result that might happen.

This one really did her best to fit the "10k" into the picture

These viral posts are indeed funny. But, it only goes to show that this prearranged budget is something no minimal-wage earner Filipino would take seriously.

In a radio report by DZBB Super Radyo, NEDA clarified that instead at P40,000 – P42,000 monthly budget would suffice a Filipino family of five. However, NEDA Director General Ernesto Pernia insists that the minimum wage should not be increased without further study.
