(Inside Manila) Working on Labor Day? Well, aside from additional payment and traffic-free streets, you may also get another perk as the MRT-3 management issued an advisory, saying they will be giving free rides to workers in celebration of Labor Day.

To avail the free rides, workers must only present their company identification card at any MRT station, the advisory said.

The MRT free rides will be available during the rush hours of 7 am to 9 am and 5 pm to 7 pm on May 1, the management said.

Unfortunately, LRT-1 and LRT-2 patrons may have to pay full price as its operator has not announced any free rides as of writing time.

May 1 is a regular holiday in the country.

(Inside Manila) Transport groups have been petitioning P2 fare increase in public utility jeepneys (PUJs) due to the upsurge in petroleum products and spare parts brought by peso depreciation since September 2017.
