(Inside Manila) L'Oreal Paris continues its pursuit of empowering talented individuals to shape the future of beauty with its annual signature innovation competition for students, Brandstorm.

This year, Brandstormers were tasked to re-imagine and re-invent the professional salon experience of the future by creating breakthrough innovations that combine the application of the most modern technologies to attract and engage millennials as well as increase hairdressers’ loyalty.

From more than 1,100 teams, only 24 moved forward to the semi-finals last March 1. The top 8 teams were then subsequently selected to battle it out in the National Finals.

And last Thursday, April 12 at the Marco Polo Hotel Ortigas, Manila, L'Oreal declared a new champion—three students from the University of the Philippines Diliman, known as Team C^3, are set to fly off to Paris, France next month to battle other Brandstorm representatives from across the globe to take on the L'Oreal challenge of creating a better customer experience for the professional salons of the future.

Aside from being this year's champion, Team C^3 also won the "Tech Innovation Award" and the "Best Speaker Award".

Students from the University of the Philippines - Visayas, Team Bellus, bagged the first place as well as the "Team Spirit Award".

While De La Salle University's Team Tala was declared 2nd Runner Up. The said team also won "People's Choice Award", and "Integrated Marketing Communication Award".
