March is the month of celebrating women’s empowerment. There are a lot of reasons and ways of observing Women’s Month, and two fashion icons celebrated it through a photography exhibit titled “Inspire | Women” aimed to empower women from different walks of life.

A woman who leads, move through the world and makes waves of an important contribution to others is an epitome of an inspiring one. Before the International Women’s Month ends, seventeen women who made a difference and inspired others to do the same were put to the spotlight through the Inspire | Women photo exhibit.

The exhibit marks fashion photographer Rxandy Capinpin’s 11th year in the fashion industry and his latest collaboration with creative clothier Levenson Rodriguez. The muses chosen in the exhibition are women who are known for their formidable achievements, embodying fierce femininity and power. Mostly, they are who Capinpin and Rodriguez looked up to and inspired not only what these fashion icons do but also who they are.

Inspire | Women photo exhibit showcases an impressive roster of influential women, exemplary in their fields, and who have inspired the works of both Capinpin and Rodriguez. The curated list included seasoned model and photographer Jo Ann Bitagcol, Professional Models Association of the Philippines (PMAP models) President Ana Sideco, and transgender woman Kevin Balot, who won the Miss International Queen title in 2012. To cap off Women’s Month, the series of women’s portraits were displayed at the Mid-Level East Atrium of Shangri-La Plaza as a tribute to all female trailblazers of the generation.

Women who continue to inspire and influence others through their ways and own will define true power women. Women are helping women—the most amazing thing about this is how collective effort is built for a better tomorrow.
