(Inside Manila) The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) is continuing its commitment to introduce Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) to the mainstream market. Just last year, DTI spearheaded and succeeded the opening of "Go Lokal!" stores in various malls and establishments around Luzon.

It wasn't the last of the department's initiative to take things further for the MSMEs. On Thursday, March 8, DTI lead its first Buyers' Day for 2018 and unveiled its newest collection—all 703 items are unique and of quality not to mention locally made and perfect for the chic, artsy and minimalist.

Interested? Below are five of the newest "Go Lokal!" product themes and its items which proves the country's MSMEs is ready to take on the eye-candy seeking market which is the millennials.

Playful colors and bright hues should be expected in the "Pop" theme. Perfect for those who want to make a statement—and be heard.

Woven macrame, clutch bags, pompom keychains, beaded door charms, hand embroidered coaster, mug dress, hand painted envelopes, and cushion covers and tote bags are some of the items you should look for in this colorful theme.

More than its minimalist colors, the "Indie" themes offer an impressive collection of bags and shoes with an intricate mix of tribal and retro design.

We recommend this theme for the millennial men that seek to be effortlessly stylish.

"Bomo" or Bohemian Modern is a collection of items that play with bright and toned down hues. The items are inspired by the boho lifestyle and the '70s.

Expect woven bags, fringe designs, pompoms, and even a pineapple or turtle ukulele!

Summer-themed items are the star of the "Resort". Unlike the previous themes, it leans more on relaxing colors that present the vibe of all things vacation, tropical, and the upcoming summer.

Quirky coasters weaved bags, tote bags, body bags and clutches that are perfectly themed for summer are in this collection.

Beauty in wood and industrial sophistication is part of the "Artisan" collection. Marvel at the nifty pieces which are both an eye-candy and handy.

From pencil holders to wooden journal and furniture that has a double purpose, these pieces are sure to inspire and bring out your appreciation for wooden crafts.

DTI also took the opportunity to award the "Top Brand Discoveries" of 2017 composed of startup brands that fulfilled their goal of creating value, gave dramatic results which in turn became an asset not just to GoLokal but to customers worldwide. Moreover, the first "Go Lokal!" catalog was also unveiled.
