(Inside Manila) While everybody is all set for a long weekend, Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) made several advisories in line with the Chinese New Year.

Aside from Makati and Las Piñas, MMDA suspended the Number Coding Scheme on Friday, February 16, in Metro Manila.

Every Friday, all vehicles with plate numbers ending in 9 and 0 are prohibited from plying the roads from 7:00 am to 8:00 pm.

Meanwhile, portions of the busy Monumento Circle in Caloocan will also be closed from Wednesday, February 14 at 12:00 am until the culmination of activities on February 15.

A Chinese New Year celebration concert and fireworks display will be held in the area, the advisory read.

MMDA advised the public to take alternate routes as heavy traffic is expected along the area.
