Weird, fun holidays celebrated in January

International Fetish Day, Opposite Day and many more observances this month!

(Inside Manila) It’s amazing how fast December can become a stranger as the year 2018 now comes in, with newly-approved holidays and observances, such as the Feast of the Immaculate Concepcion on December 8.


According to the Official Gazette of the Republic of the Philippines, the country will observe January as a General Orientation on Safety and Prevention Month, a National Microinsurance Month, a Zero Waste Month, and a Liver Cancer and Viral Hepatitis Awareness and Prevention Month.


We’ll also celebrate the Feast of the Black Nazarene in Quiapo, Sinulog Festival in Cebu City, Ati-Atihan Festival in Kalibo, Aklan, and The Dinagyang Festival in Iloilo. The world, on the other hand, will have these unusual yet fun holidays:
