It was a rough second week of March highlighted by the week-long water interruption and made worse with the sudden Facebook. Yet, we know the Filipino resilience will strive.

Here’s what went down this week Inside Manila:

Manila Water: Service interruption may persist in the next three months
This is #ManilaEncounters IRL!

Customers of Manila Water has been experiencing water interruption since March 8 and may persist for the next three months or until the rainy season sets in. Manila Water released a new distribution scheme with a more definite time of water adjustments in some parts of Makati, Mandaluyong, Pasig, Pateros, San Juan, Taguig, Marikina, and parts of Quezon City and Manila. The implementation will start on March 14 and 15.

Manila Water is deploying water tankers—prioritizing schools and hospitals—in the affected areas. The operational adjustments aim “to help slow down the rapid decline of the water level at La Mesa Dam.”

Facebook, Instagram, and What’s App Goes Down for Hours in an Apparent Outage
Did you experience it, too?

Did you experience troubles accessing Facebook or Instagram on Wednesday morning? You weren't alone.

Facebook users around the world reported issues logging in to and posting on the site and on Instagram and WhatsApp. Facebook hasn't given a reason for the outage yet and provided only minimal information acknowledging the outbreak through Twitter.

Facebook later confirmed the problem was not the result of a Distributed Denial-of-Service (DDoS) attack in which a hacker floods a site with fake traffic.

Pageant enthusiasts are hoping for a back-to-back win as Maureen's predecessor, Cynthia Thomalla, who won the Philippines' first-ever Miss Eco International crown last year.

Meanwhile, Maureen is hands-on with her environmental advocacies in the country. She had been focusing on cleaning up the country's water sources and joined the Manila Bay clean-up and other local projects.

Maureen asks for support through social media. Liking, posting comments, and sharing her Eco Tourism video on Miss Eco International's Facebook page is the best way to help our candidate.

Jolina hinted her and Marvin's plan for a reunion film late last year saying they want the film to be connected to “Labs Kita, Okey Ka Lang?”

We hope to see MarJo on the big screen soon!

Marvel’s new Female Superhero is a Badass Filipina
She’s ready to make Waves

Marvel comic book artist, Grag Pak took to Twitter on National Women’s Day (March 8) to announce a new female Marvel Superhero named Wave.

Drawn by Filipino Marvel comic book artist, Leinil Yu and colored by Sunny Gho, Wave is among the new set of Superheroes in the War of the Realms: New Agents of Atlas #1 with Chinese heroes Aero and Swordmaster, who are also making their debut in May this year.

Before Wave, Marvel also created a Filipino supergroup called Triumph Division who appeared in Iron Man #2 in 2008.

Release of Official Avengers Trailer
We're nearing the end

Avengers: Endgame is set for release this April 2019, and it marks the end of the Marvel Cinematic Universe's third phase. And to get us more excited (or nervous) Marvel studios released a two-minute trailer last Thursday (March 14.)

Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige has already been hyping up the importance of Endgame, saying it “will bring things you’ve never seen in superhero films: a finale.”

Revelations from the new trailer appear near the end of the clip where we get to see the remaining heroes in uniform armor suits. So we're expecting a trip to the quantum realm, yes?
And a face-to-face encounter with two of the strongest Avengers, Thor, and Captain Marvel.
