We all know leading Pinoy restaurant chain Mang Inasal provides mouthwatering meals for their customers. Now they offer not only their dishes but also a contemporary view on romance and relationships through a short film.
Mang Inasal and its creative agency, DDB Philippines, created a three-minute digital short film dubbed as "#SolbAngBuhay". It is directed by English Only Please director Dan Villegas and stars Exes Baggage actors Carlo Aquino and Angelica Panganiban.
The film also showed how any relationship can fall apart at the slightest of reasons. But in the end, Mang Inasal’s message resonates in empowering couples or single people that happiness does not need to depend on a person. This is the restaurant's reassuring message: one can still be happy regardless of one’s relationship status. It's okay to be single and it's okay to love yourself.
The closing line goes “Kahit single, in a relationship, or it’s complicated, solb pa rin ang buhay ‘di ba?"
You don’t have to feel lonely when you are eating alone. Indulging in your meal without a companion can be a liberating feeling. Mang Inasal can be the perfect place for eating all by yourself. Try it out, and be empowered and independent.
