PH won third place in 2017 World Robot Games

(Inside Manila) The Philippine team finished third with 24 medals, including 10 golds at the recently concluded World Robot Games in Singapore last Saturday, November 11.


A total of 125 students from 21 different schools in the country competed in the 2 day games.


The host country, Singapore, placed second while Thailand was declared the overall champion of the games.


Filipino students Angel Ken Young, Justin Aaron Natividad and Joseph Dulay won gold medals each after winning in the sumobot or droid wrestling category.


Seven other gold awards were won as the Philippine team designed and built autonomous machines for security and counterterrorism.


The Philippines is set to host the 2018 World Robot Games.
