Arts and love month ended on a great note with events supporting Filipinos' artistic aptitude. This March, collectives are gearing up for a month of celebrating women’s empowerment and sustaining an environment that encourages inclusivity.

Gear up for a new month coming with these events near you:

Alternatrip Presents: What the Fuzz!
When: March 1, 8 pm
Where: Mow’s Matalino Bar, Quezon City

It's amazing how music unites people from different backgrounds. Relive the glory days of 2016 with Alternatrip's "What the Fuzz!" gig with the same old location, ticket price, and solid line-up featuring Identikit, Rusty Machines, The Geeks, Pastilan Dong!, Public Places, and Megumi Acorda. Alternatrip has been curating gig with the same line-up promoting alternative rock music since 2016. RSVP online.

Dangerous Woman
When: March 2, 8 pm
Where: Upperhouse, BGC, Taguig City

The music scene is set with carefully curated gigs with empowering line-up starting with “Dangerous Woman”, a gig curated by Red Ninja Productions featuring female-fronted bands such as Area 25, Flying Ipis, Bita and the Botflies, Banna Harbera, Intertwined, Tamara, and Kiana Valenciano. Come through and enjoy rock, electro-pop, acoustic, and soul music in one night! Door charge is 300php with one free drink.

Rakrakan Festival: Peace, Love, and Music

Where: Circuit Makati Concert Grounds, Makati City

The long wait is almost over. This year's much-awaited Rakrakan Festival: Peace, Love, and Music is happening this weekend. Witness the country's biggest and most-sough after bands come together in one gathering. Gear up for a music-filled weekend with this playlist.

Women and War (An Exhibition)
When: February 28 to March 3
Where: Ayala Museum, Greenbelt Park, Makati City

In time for Women's Month, Ayala Museum spearheaded Women and War, an exhibition on women survivors, warriors, and workers during World War II. This exhibit featuring Lila Filipina hopes to educate the Filipinos on securing a peaceful nation to avoid the tragic past from resurfacing.

Women and War is held with "War and Women Film Festival" at Ayala MyCinema Greenbelt 3 last February 9, 16, and 23. Catch it until March 3! RSVP online.

Ang Huling El Bimbo 2019
When: March 1
Where: Newport Performing Arts Theater At Resorts World Manila, Pasay City

After its theatrical success, Ang Huling El Bimbo is back on March 1 until April 6! It’s an original musical play about friendship told through the songs of the most iconic Pinoy rock band from the ’90s. Produced by Resorts World Manila and Full House Theater Company, Ang Huling El Bimbo is written by Dingdong Novenario, and directed and choreographed by Dexter Santos. Tickets available online.

Storywriting Basics: Story Design

Where: Penbrothers, Rockwell Business Center, Mandaluyong City

Storywriting Basics: Story Design (formerly known as Inkblot: the Essentials of Writing Fiction) is a 12-hour writing course on the method of story writing with author and playwright Dr. Joem Antonio, eight-time Palanca Award winner.
