One could recognize streetwear among the crowd. An urban aesthetic with a mix of skater, hip-hop, Japanese fashion—and predominately made by and for men. It may be a style category built to be an antithesis to fashion on sexism, but today it flourishes with women—everyone actually—growing to appreciate it.

Check out these local shops we found on Instagram; proof that anyone can wear pull off streetwear:

Quirk Clothing Co.

Streetwear reminds us of the 90s era—clothes with colored stripes, baggy jeans, and colorful socks—you could say the same to describe Quirk Clothing. Go for their Tangerine and Betamax Strip Tee to go full-on 90s kid style.

It may have started as a gender-specific style, but today streetwear is for everyone, anywhere. These locally made brands flourish and evident enough during the National Philippine Streetwear Day on January 15 where both men, women and everyone present their local street style. Check out the hashtag #NPSD2019 to see what we mean.
