Do you still remember your childhood and what it was to love like a child? Those simpler times when mornings are for pancakes and cereals, afternoons are for playtime, and bedtimes are for story books.
What if you can relive your childhood for a day?
This 2019, you are all invited to travel back in time with Ikarus Theater Collaborative's sixth season opener, Manikang Kuneho, a musical adaptation of Margery Williams' timeless tale of unwavering love—The Velveteen Rabbit. With songs narrating pure and unconditional love, Manikang Kuneho is a chance to relearn what it's like to love like a child.
The production will be under the direction of award-winning director Jay Crisostomo IV, who also adapted the children's story for the stage. The music for the play was composed by Abi Casauay.
Manikang Kuneho will be staged in DITO: Bahay ng Sining, J. Molina St, Concepcion Uno, Marikina from January 25 and 26 to February 1, 2, 8, 15 at 7:00 p.m.
