This was announced during the 2017 History Con Philippines on Thursday, August 10, at the World Trade Center.

According to an ABS-CBN report, James will play the role of 20-year-old Peter Harris, who was raised in the US by his adoptive father.

When his adoptive father died, he went back to the Philippines to find his mother and embarks on a journey only to find out that he is nothing but ordinary.

Written by Regene Estolatan under Epik Studios, “Pedro Penduko: The Legend Begins” has already started filming. However, the exact date of its release is yet to be announced.

Pedro Penduko was played by several actors like Efren Reyes Sr., Ramon Zamora, and Janno Gibbs in films.

In 2006, Matt Evans portrayed the role in an ABS-CBN television adaptation entitled “Komiks Presents: The Adventures of Pedro Penduko.”

Not a Drill: Jason Momoa and Amber Heard will Fly (or swim?) to Manila for the Aquaman Premiere!
