The 90s is such a nostalgic era for adulting millennials today. It was the time of cartoons, telenovelas, and afternoon playtimes—indeed a time of blissful ignorance.
Playing on that young ignorance are the 90s songs all have loved but most of the time never actually know the lyrics of (cue in: Asereje and Voltes V theme song). Now, we once again thank the internet because we recently dug a huge 90s gem—one that just tugs our childhood strings straight from our pa-bibo kid days.
The song "On Ne S'Aimera Plus Jamais" is 'that' song 90s kids know but can't really point their tongue to.
In case you're still aren't familiar with what we're talking about, below is the actual song:
You do remember, right?!
For some reason it's lyrics are incoherent and the only phrase understandable is the "Shamey" phrase repeated over and over throughout, because the song is actually French!
And we're not the only one. Some Pinoys actually even had a difficult time finding this one song. See the relatable and hilarious comments below:
A little background; the song was released in 1999 as part of French singer Larusso's album entitled "Simplement".
Opposite to its danceable tune, the song is actually a sad one. According to a forum who got the lyrics of it translated, the song is about never loving again.
Charice Pempengco, before he was Jake Zyrus, had her own interpretation of the song. How did the singer do? Or do you think you could do better?
And if you can't get enough, here's another one! Remember this song being part of local radios song list?
How did you do keyword search on this one though?
Thank us later.
