Philpop once again proved that every Pinoy songwriter, no matter the age or genre they compose, has room in the local music scene. For this year, a wide variety of music was showcased, which included songs in different Filipino dialects. And just recently, Philpop unveiled the 10 songs that stood among the rest.p
What are songs if they are not able to describe how you feel? Maybe one these Philpop top entries could be your next "theme song". Check them out!
Have been "two-timed"? You might be able to relate to “Ako Ako”.
“Di Ko Man” is the jam of those who are willing to give everything to the one they love.
Do you still remember your short-lived romances (or lack thereof)? “Isang Gabing Pag-ibig” might remind you of them.
No matter how hard life can be, “Kariton” shows that there's always hope. For the hopeless, here's a song to lift you up.
“Laon Ako” is the perfect song for your relatives who are always asking why aren't you married yet during family reunions.
If you've been crazy about love, then you won't have to ask “Loco De Amor's” composer what drove him to write this one crazy song.
A heavy take on the innocent childhood game, “Nanay Tatay” might be the perfect song to raise awareness to current social issues.
Tongue-tied whenever you talk to your crush? “Pilipit” will remind you that you are not alone.
We know relationships aren't always pretty. “Tama Na” proves that and will let you know when to say "enough".
If you ever felt taken for granted and given enough much time, sing “Yun Tayo” to your *forced smile* lover.
OPM is alive and kicking. Pinoy music is more than ready to conquer the music scene (and our feelings) and Philpop is only one platform to show it. Maybe dig a little deeper and you’ll find gems, or even better, your next life anthem. Mabuhay ang OPM!
