Remember how cooking shows were more of? Now that we no one can just go up to food places or restaurants and ordering food will take up some time, we need those shows now more than ever.

Luckily, Filipino chefs and cooking enthusiasts have always brought their craft and recipes online for everyone to watch and eventually follow. So, if you’re taking up the apron and becoming your household’s cook this #NewNormal here are five Youtube channels to get started on.

Delish PH

Delish PH is a local cooking channel based in Iloilo City filled with Filipino favorites to trendy dishes made from scratch. We recommend watching their DIY Milk tea pearls video. You may also check their DelishPH blog for more recipes.

Erwan Heusaff

Erwan Huesaff, aka The Fat Kid Inside, best known for his food videos wherein he tries to re-create popular food items like Jollibee, Taho, and other Filipino favorites. We recommend watching one of his latest food video where he recreates popular dishes in Jollibee, Jolly Spaghetti, Burger Streak, and a second attempt to make Chicken Joy.

Judy Ann's Kitchen

Renowned Filipina actress Judy Ann Santos is the among the celebrities turned Youtubers. Judy Ann turned her channel ala cooking show online. Judy’s Ann Kitchen shows the informative and comedic side of the actress from her own rendition of popular dishes to creatively hiding vegetables from her kids' meals.

Mama Tita's

It may be a fairly new channel (created in 2019), but Mama Tita’s got what it takes to get lined up among popular cooking channels on the platform. The channel is covering up cooking basics and odd dishes too (adobong palaka!) in a, surprisingly, cinematic approach.

Panlasang Pinoy

Perhaps one of the pioneers of online cooking shows, Panlasang Pinoy channel started 11 years ago! From its name alone, the channel has covered the basic Filipino dishes and created a Filipino version of carbonara, Salisbury Steak, Beef Stroganoff, and many more. Out of the channel’s library of cooking videos, we recommend its most viewed, the Leche Flan. We challenge you to create glass-skin like versions of this dessert!

Taking on the cooking duty as finding a productive hobby this #NewNormal is, well, normal. As a beginner follow the recipe and take on your own when you’ve got a hang of it. Confidence and practice helps too. Happy cooking!
