Quaranthings To Do: Become The Revolutionary Filipina of Your Dreams

Avatars created from Picrew
Even if we try to deny it, we still find dress up games amusing and somewhat therapeutic. There’s a certain satisfaction in picking clothes and accessories and doing the model’s makeup. If you’re still into dress up games, you’ll find this one on Picrew, an image-making platform, interesting.

A Filipina with a Twitter handle called @alamangoes created a Filipiniana dress-up picrew. The game lives up to its name as it features tops and skirts with patterns and designs that are inspired by traditional Filipina clothes. You can choose hair ornaments and jewelries that will complement your look.

Just like any other dress up games, you get to choose the body type, facial features, and skin complexion. It ranges from fair to dark, so you can assume it embraces the diversity of Filipina skin tone. Filipiniana Dress up becomes even more badass as you can add eyebags and scars to add to the avatar’s fierce look.

Traditional clothes and physical features are not the only ones that will leave you amused. Alamangoes add in accessories like a sword and fan (you can choose both!) and a sign board in which you can write whatever you like. Users even used it to express the current events, filling the board with “solusyong medikal, hindi militar.” You can add your sentiments with witty banters, too!

Swords, fans, and sign boards don’t appeal to you? Then maybe you would want to carry a flag. Choose between the LGBTQIA+ and Transgender flag to complete the look. This dress up game may look conservative, but it is also inclusive.

Alamangoes said on Twitter she would add in new features regularly in the following months. And if you would like a personalized version of their Picrew image, you can DM her and she can send you a half or full body artwork for a price. All proceeds will be for the benefit of the donation drives of Alamangoes’ choice.
Hi again! If anyone wants a more personalized version of their picrew, whether of you or your OCs, I am opening 8 SLOTS PER WEEK for #ArtForMedPH commissions
