When the Enhanced Community Quarantine ends, it’s also time to protect ourselves even more. Employees will start going back to work and more businesses will open, increasing our physical contact with other people. It will also increase the risk of contracting COVID-19. With this, the government mandated the public to observe proper social distancing and wear a face mask at all times.

Since medical masks are disposable, not to mention out of stock in most stores, we can opt to switch to cloth face masks. It’s sustainable plus saves you a lot of money. Here’s where you can buy them:

Tela

Tela is a sustainable clothing brand that ventured into selling face masks during this pandemic. What they sell are zero-waste face masks for 200php per set (inclusive of three masks). They will use 100% of proceeds to make Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) suits for frontliners.

Back in March, they also sold neoprene masks for 20php which supports the production of more masks for the frontliners and less fortunate.

It’s time for us to adjust to New Normal and protect our health. But while we’re looking out for ourselves, we can also take time to help other people in need. Your little acts can go a long way.
