The milk tea craze is only getting crazier as new shops keep opening in and out of the metro. But in the sea of milk tea shops, how does one stand out? New flavors? Extra toppings? Boba Ka Tea, a milk tea shop in Quezon City, takes the witty route with a hugot menu.

Boba Ka Tea is inspired by the milk tea’s chewy tapioca named “Boba” and its parallel Tagalog translation. If it’s asking “Do you want tea?” or otherwise is a mystery. The shop’s wit doesn’t stop on its name as its whole menu is inspired by failed romantic conquests, broken hearts, and ghosting.

The menu consists of the usual milk tea favorites such as. Wintermelon, Hokkaido, Matcha, Okinawa, and Taro. But what made it iconic is the play of words in its offering, turning your feelings into cravings with “Wintermelon na siyang iba”, “Hokkaidaming mong mahal”, Okinawa to “Okinawawa”, Tarot to “Tinarot lang pero hindi jinowa” and so on.

The shop immediately went viral on social media with netizens complimenting how on-point and hugot the menu names are. And apparently, the Boka Ka Tea? experience is best when dining in as they often play sad love songs to match your mood—or the menu, whatever works for you.

And if you got hooked, why not take a shot on being loyal? A loyal customer that is because Boba Ka Tea offers “Loyal Ka Ba?” loyalty cards as well!
