Filipinos show creativity in every work they do. But apart from that, we also aim to have a heart for serving those who are in need. A proudly Filipino toy company, Plush and Play, combines creativity and the advocacy to alleviate the poverty in the country through their plush toys.

Established in 2012, Plush and Play is a social enterprise that contributes to Gawad Kalinga’s goal of helping poor Filipino families. The team behind this company is Batang Bayani International, Inc. (BBI) founded by Fabien Courteille.

Each plush toy is hand-stitched by the moms living in the Gawad Kalinga communities. These women make veggie-themed stuffed toys as they put their undervalued stitching skills to good use, making them able to provide a living to feed their children and send them to school. Each plushie screams local, from materials to production, down to the plushies’ names.

The fun in owning a Plush and Play stuffed toy starts from its witty names. Meet Manny Pakwan, Buko Martin, Apple de Ap, Fili Pinya, Sili Crawford, Ryan Bawang, and their other friends as you choose the perfect one for you. You can also choose to take home Yapu the Tarsier. He’ll be happier if you bring Jessica Saging with him.

Plush and Play is also keen on the safety of its products. It assures of using hypoallergenic materials and it avoids plastic parts. Because of this, it is safe and ideal to give to children. Plush and Pay has its own way of making learning fun for young ones.
